Special Times…Special Love…SPECIAL MOMENTS
Full of history, Full of “I love you”, Full of “I do” and Full of SPECIAL MOMENTS. The historic Special Moments Wedding Chapel has been located in the Lewisville community since 1901, when it was the German Evangelical Friedens (Peace) Congregation. Though the church has much more history that can be read on our website at www.specialmoments.info , we are proud to continue the rich tradition that will always exist in the chapel’s culture. In addition to keeping these traditions we are happy to add and enhance the special moments that happen at Special Moments Wedding Chapel and reception hall.
The chapel, still invested in it’s traditional activities, has thrived in creating the most special moments in a couple’s history by planning and creating the details of their wedding. From the walk down the aisle to the exit of the new “Mr. and Mrs.”, Special Moments Chapel has been part of many moments that will last a lifetime. We like to think of Special Moments wedding ceremonies as intimate, unique and traditional with a romantic charm. We feel this is what sets us apart from other facilities. One of our most unique features is the ringing of the chapel bell. This tradition has been a staple in German weddings for many, many years. When the couple completes their nuptials the chapel bell rings seven times for good luck.
Special Moments Chapel has committed itself to continuing and strengthening our presence in the Dallas-Ft.Worth wedding and event industry. It is important for us to interact, assist, and provide a great wealth of knowledge to our couples and families on their most special day.Creating moments that families can have for a lifetime is invaluable, which is why we take pride in everything that we do. We are excited about the future of Special Moments Chapel and we can’t wait to share this excitement with our clients.

5 Great Wedding Cost Cutters
1. Go over your guest list with a fine tooth comb
Look over your family and friends and see who really know you and want to be there to celebrate this special time in your life. A good rule of thumb is look into your future and if you are absolutely positive that you will have a relationship with them in the future, try and keep them on your list.
2. Be flexible with your time frame
Most venues discount weddings during the day. Try having a wedding mid-morning to mid-afternoon. Not only will you lower your bill on your location but meal and bar tickets tend to be less expensive during the day than in the evening.
3. Find an all-inclusive Venue
Every venue is different. Every venue offers different packages. Try and search for all-inclusive packages. This means find a venue that offers tables, linens, chairs, cakes and decorations. Typically, vendors and items that are included in these all-inclusive packages have lower cost due to the volume of events they do at that venue.
4. Have a buffet instead of a sit down meal
Most of your guests are not going to remember how your food was served, but they will remember how the food tasted. Quality, freshness and taste of the food are much more important than the manner in which it was served.
5. Select flowers that are in season
Flowers tend to be more expensive around Christmas, Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day. Having silk arrangements can be cost effective if you price them right. Try watching for deals from craft stores like Hobby Lobby or Michael’s. Usually they will have discounts on silk floral, up to 50% off. Furthermore, when it comes to centerpieces try using floating candles or seeing if your venue offers basic centerpieces like glass votive in their packages.

2013 Wedding Trends
(These trends in particular are ones that would look amazing at Special Moments)
Vintage weddings started in 2012 however will become extremely popular in 2013. There will be a special interest in the year 1920’s with inspiration from the 1930’s and 1940’s. This glamorous time period featured headbands with pearl or feather embellishments to lace gowns. Brides will be incorporating more DIY projects that give more classic old timey feel from decorative wild flowers as centerpieces to birdcage veils.
The Historical Round Grove Chapel (known as Special Moments Chapel) was built in 1901 and began to flourish through the 1920’s – 1940’s. In 1926 is when they really started to make changes. They made the switch from a German speaking congregation, to an English speaking congregation. In order to keep the church growing they also decided that service would be held every Sunday. Today, the Chapel is only used for weddings and special occasions but the historic charm is showcased throughout.
What is more Vintage than getting married in a Historical Chapel!?!
